Town Center Plaza has announced its lineup for the 2015 Sunset Music Fest, a series of free, all-ages Thursday night concerts.

Robert Randolph and the Family Band will lead off the series, performing on May 28. Blue Springs native David Cook, a former American Idol winner, performs on June 4. The Gin Blossoms perform on June 11. Sweet, the ’70s glam band that produced the hit “Ballroom Blitz,” performs on June 18. And the alt-rock/punk band Lit closes out the series on June 25. A local band will open each of the five shows; that lineup will be announced later.

Admission is free, but food, adult beverages and soft drinks will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the Kansas City chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In a press release announcing this year’s lineup, Karla Lowe, managing director of Town Center Plaza, said the 2014 festival raised nearly $15,000 for JDRF.
