The stage for U2's Joshua Tree tour is massive. Here's a closer look
Tuesday’s U2 concert at Arrowhead Stadium will be the only stadium show in Kansas City this year, making it the biggest show of the year, by far. If you’re headed out to Arrowhead for the show, here are some things you need to know.
Parking, gate times
Parking prices: $30 in advance, $40 day of event. Advance parking is available via Ticketmaster. (Google U2 parking at Arrowhead.)
Parking gates: Open at 2 p.m. (The Royals have an afternoon game, and traffic leaving the game is expected to be heavy between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.)
Stadium gates: Open at 5:30 p.m.
Beck: 7:30 p.m.
U2: In Detroit, U2 was scheduled to go on at 9:10 p.m. but went on at 9:20 p.m.
U2’s show duration: Two hours plus change.
U2: In addition to the entire “Joshua Tree” album, set lists have included Sunday Bloody Sunday; New Year’s Day; Bad; Pride (In the Name of Love); Beautiful Day; Elevation; Vertigo; Mysterious Ways; Ultraviolet (Light My Way); and One.
Beck: His set lists have included Devils Haircut; Loser; E-Pro; Black Tambourine; Think I’m In Love; Que Onda Guero; Soul of a Man; One Foot in the Grave; Go It Alone; Lost Cause; Blue Moon; Dreams; and Where It’s At.
Crowd expected at Arrowhead: More than 40,000.
Average attendance at the 20 U.S. stadiums on Leg 1 of this tour: 52,100.
Lowest attendance: 41,413 (sold out) at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on June 7.
Clear Bag Policy: Bags that are clear and do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches and small clutch purses that do not exceed 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches are permitted. Click here for more information.
Security Procedures: Visitors go through walk-through metal detectors, and people are asked to remove all items from their pockets as part of the screening process.
