Hello, is this the deal you’re looking for?
Tickets for the Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey show Sunday, Aug. 27, at Sprint Center are on sale now for as low as $9.95 (plus applicable fees and charges, of course).
Easy, now. Don’t start dancing on the ceiling. The seats are in the top corner of Sprint Center.
Still, reasonably priced better seats can be found in several other spots for $37.95.
When tickets went on sale in December, they were priced between $29.95 and $500; they currently range from $9.95 to $147.95 on AXS.com with some VIP packages reaching $848.
This is the same “All the Hits” tour that was postponed in late February after Richie had knee surgery. Rolling Stone reported at the time that when the new dates were announced, the tour had been shortened from 35 to 22 dates, leaving fans in St. Louis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and other cities without shows.
At the time, Live Nation released a statement to Billboard that the rescheduling had to fit around the artists’ schedules.
“We had a small window between Lionel’s continued touring plans overseas in the fall and Mariah’s scheduled Las Vegas residency to fit as many dates as we could route,” the statement read.
Billboard also cited unnamed sources as sayings sales had been “so-so.”
Tickets went on sale just a couple of weeks before Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance on ABC.
“Sources tell Billboard the high-profile meltdown didn’t help already-sluggish ticket sales,” the trade site posted.
