‘Frozen’ star Idina Menzel coming to Kansas City

This could be the most wickedly cool concert announcement of the week.

Idina Menzel, the voice behind Elsa in “Frozen” and Elphaba in “Wicked” is scheduled to perform at Starlight on Wednesday, Aug. 16. If you’re up for a road trip, she’ll be in St. Louis the night before.

Menzel performed at Starlight in 2014 and 2015 and at the Kauffman Center in 2011.

Tickets for the Starlight show go on sale at noon, Friday, Jan. 27. Presale is Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Ticketmaster.com. According to idinamenzel.com, the password is IDINA.
