The Bruno Mars 2017 world tour to stop in Kansas City in August

Bruno Mars announced a 2017 world tour of 85 cities that includes a stop at the Sprint Center on Aug. 9, a Wednesday. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.

The 24K Magic World Tour comprises shows in 33 European cities, starting with Antwerp, Belgium, on March 28. The North American leg of the tour will hit 55 cities, starting with Las Vegas on July 15. It includes a stop in Lincoln, Neb., on Aug. 7.

Mars will be touring on “24K Magic,” his third studio album, due to be released Friday.

His previous concert in Kansas City was Aug. 9, 2013, at the Sprint Center. He also performed at the Independence Events Center in May 2011. Janelle Monae opened that show.
