Will senators’ attacks hurt ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ at awards time?

“Zero Dark Thirty” has been considered an Oscar front-runner, but around Hollywood, consultants working on the awards campaigns of rival films proclaimed that Kathryn Bigelow’s fact-based thriller about the hunt for Osama bin Laden had suffered a hit from senators' criticism about the film's alleged misrepresentation of torture and its role in tracking down the al-Qaida leader.
