Photographer Terry Evans’ exhibit at the Nelson tracks the changing prairie

Photographer Terry Evans captures the unrelenting ugliness of pipeline excavations in rural North Dakota in her color shot, “Oil pipeline right of way, Mountrail County, North Dakota.” It’s one of the newest works included in her major retrospective, “Heartland: The Photographs of Terry Evans,” now on view at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
