Boxcar, prairie grass bring art to a downtown KC rooftop

This month marks 18 years since a helicopter lowered R.M. Fischer’s “Sky Stations” metal sculptures onto the big concrete pylons atop Bartle Hall. Last week, another crew performed another risky installation of an aerial artwork on a bright September day. This one involved placing a single boxcar on a roof planted with waving prairie grasses.
