Indie film ‘After the Wizard’ goes back to Kansas for Oz update

A dozen years ago, novelist Hugh Gross became enamored of a vision of the Scarecrow and Tin Woodman from “The Wizard of Oz” journeying to Kansas to find Dorothy. In 2009, he modified it into a play called “After the Wizard.” Now a movie adaptation, shot primarily in Kansas, is gearing up for a limited theatrical release, including showings at the Screenland Crown Center.
