Visual art | New Denver museum displays the life’s work of painter Clyfford Still

Seven years in the making, the $32 million Clyfford Still Museum in Denver is like a huge concrete time capsule. Within are some of the greatest and least-known American paintings of the post-World War II era — big, craggy, all-over abstractions made by Clyfford Still, perhaps the most cantankerous and original of the abstract expressionists.
