KC Ballet’s new home, a former electric plant, has a power all its own

After almost two years and $32 million, Kansas City Ballet is ready to unveil the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity at 500 W. Pershing Road in a building that once was a power plant. “We’re now creating a new source of power — dance energy,” said Jeffrey Bentley, the ballet’s executive director.
