Jazz singer Diana Krall will join classical conductor and violinist Itzhak Perlman on Saturday, Sept. 17, for the inaugural performance at the Helzberg Hall concert hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
The Saturday performance will follow a performance featuring tenor Placido Domingo, who will christen the PAC's Muriel Kauffman Theatre on Friday, Sept. 16. It will be Domingo's first Kansas City performance.
Krall and Perlman will be joined by the Kansas City Symphony, conducted by Michael Stern.
Tickets for the two grand opening events will be available starting March 28. Proceeds from both performances will support future Kauffman Center programming, including education and outreach activities. For more information, go to
