KC film critics: 'The Social Network' best film of 2010

"The Social Network" on Sunday was named the best film of 2010 in voting by two dozen members of the Kansas City Film Critics Circle.

Best actor honors went to Colin Firth for his performance as the stammering King George VI in "The King's Speech"; Natalie Portman was voted best actress for her performance as a ballerina descending into madness in "Black Swan."

Supporting actor: Christian Bale for "The Fighter."

The Robert Altman Award for best director: Christopher Nolan for "Inception."

Animated film: "Toy Story 3."

Documentary: "Exit Through the Gift Shop."

Foreign language film: "Mother (Korea)."

Original screenplay: "Inception."

Adapted screenplay: "The Social Network."

Vince Koehler Award for best fantasy. science fiction or horror: "Inception."
