January Jones used to play wild single women (like an American flirt in Richard Curtis’ “Love Actually”). But ever since she became housewife Betty Draper on TV’s “Mad Men,” she’s getting wife and mother roles. Next Friday, she’s a DJ’s wife in Curtis’ rock comedy “Pirate Radio.”
And she just signed to play wives in two new thrillers: “Unknown White Male,” with a comatose Liam Neeson, and “Hungry Rabbit Jumps,” with a vengeful Nicolas Cage. Both are set to start filming in … January.
But first, “Mad Men,” has its season finale at 9 p.m. Sunday. And then Jones will host “Saturday Night Live” Nov. 14.
And in case you were wondering, her name really is January. Her parents named her after a loose woman in a Jacqueline Susann novel. Gee, thanks, Mom and Dad!
