Jack Sock is having success in men’s doubles as well as singles at the French Open.

Sock, who won his second-round singles match on Thursday, and partner Joao Sousa beat 16th-seeded Pablo Cuevas and Horacio Zeballos 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the second round of doubles competition on Friday in Paris.

Sock, a former Blue Valley North High star, and Sousa, who is from Portugal, will next play Andrey Golubev and Samuel Groth. Golubev and Groth upset fourth-seeded David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco 7-6 (9-7) 6-4.

Up next for Sock in singles is a match Saturday against Dusan Lajovic of Serbia.

If he gets past that match, Sock could meet top-seeded Rafael Nadal in the round of 16.
