Greene survives another week
Maurice Greene and partner Cheryl Burke, dancing what was described on the ABC blog as an “afrolicious samba” to KC and the Sunshine Band, were voted to stay on “Dancing with the Stars” for at least one more week. They had a score of 22 out of 30.

Falcons’ owner bids on team
Arthur Blank, who already owns the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Force (Arena Football), submitted a bid for a Major League Soccer expansion franchise. MLS, which has 14 teams, awarded expansion franchises to Seattle (2009) and Philadelphia (2010) and plans to add two more by the 2011 season.
Lenvil Elliott dies in Richmond
Former NFL running back Lenvil Elliott, who returned to his home in Richmond, Mo., after his playing career was finished, died of a heart attack Sunday. He was 57.
Elliott, who played college football at Northeast Missouri State, was a 10th-round draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 1973. He played six seasons with the Bengals and was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 1979. He played on the 49ers team that won Super Bowl XVI.
Elliott carried the ball 440 times and gained 1,900 yards (4.3 average per carry) in his nine-year career. He scored eight touchdowns. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. His funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

•Padraig Harrington and Jim Furyk each shot 68s and were tied for the lead at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, a 36-hole tournament in Bermuda for major winners. Furyk is taking Tiger Woods’ place.
•Kyle Hawkins, who was fired as the club coach of the University of Missouri men’s lacrosse team shortly after disclosing his homosexuality, is starting over as a club sports coach in Germany.
•Kevin Foster, who spent seven years in the majors pitching mostly for the Chicago Cubs, has died of cancer in Oklahoma City. He was 39.
