No. 4 Missouri took the field for only the third time as a ranked team at Nebraska since the Cornhuskers began their 15-game winning streak against the Tigers in Lincoln. In 1980, MU came in ranked No. 15 and lost 38-16. In 1998 MU was ranked No. 19 when it lost at Nebraska 20-13. Nebraska hasn’t been ranked when playing host to Missouri since 1998. An unranked Nebraska team has never beaten a ranked Missouri team.
•The Cornhuskers have lost 10 straight games to teams ranked in the top 10. The last time Nebraska beat a top-10 team was Oct. 27, 2001.
•Missouri has scored a touchdown on every game-opening drive this season. Against Nebraska, it took three plays and 59 seconds.
•After just four plays, Mizzou’s Jeremy Maclin had 92 all-purpose yards. He returned the opening kickoff 34 yards and rambled 58 yards with a Chase Daniel touchdown pass on the third play from scrimmage.
•Defensive end Stryker Sulak shed his No. 38 to wear No. 25 in honor of fallen teammate Aaron O’Neal.
•The crowd of 85,372 gave Nebraska its 294th consecutive sellout.
