Sources close to UCLA players Kevin Love and Darren Collison say the two players have met with UCLA coach Ben Howland and told him they were going to enter the NBA draft.
Neither player has made an announcement because of Howland’s season-ending news conference today. Both are expected to hire agents, which would mean they could not return to UCLA next year.
Love, a freshman, averaged 17.5 points and 10.6 rebounds. He was a first-team All-American and Pacific-10 player of the year.
•ALSO LEAVING: Other underclassmen who announced they would make themselves eligible for the NBA draft Tuesday include Alabama’s Ronald Steele (no agent), LSU freshman forward Anthony Randolph (no agent), Arizona sophomore Chase Budinger (agent status unknown) and Florida center Marreese Speights (no agent).
