Before it had even taken the field for the 2014 season, the Liberty North baseball team received its first ever ranking from the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.
It's been a steady climb ever since.
Liberty North is No. 3 in the latest Missouri Class 5 poll, the highest billing for any Kansas City team. The Eagles are 12-1.
Their only loss this season came against Blue Springs South, which opened the season ranked No. 1 and now sits at No. 6.
Lee's Summit West is No. 7, followed by Rockhurst, which is eighth.
In Missouri Class 4, Smithville is ranked sixth, Pembroke Hill eighth and Oak Grove ninth.
