Lee's Summit junior Drew Lock to announce college destination on April 9

Lee’s Summit High School junior Drew Lock is ready to make his college decision.

Well, decisions. Plural.

Lock will announce his college commitment during a ceremony on April 9. He will also be revealing which sport he plans to play at the next level.

Lock is rated as a four-star quarterback. He is the fifth-best pro-style quarterback in the nation, according to Rivals.com.

He is also an all-state basketball player who has received offers from Missouri and Oklahoma, among others. He averaged

His heaviest recruitment, though, has come from football schools. Lock has been offered to play football by more than a dozen Division I programs, including Missouri, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan State and Louisville.

Lock’s father, Andy Lock, was an offensive lineman at Missouri.

“It’s a big decision — it’s not a problem a lot of people get to have, and I don’t take it for granted,” Lock told The Star during the football season.
