Lee's Summit North senior Imani Johnson put herself in pretty good company last week, becoming only the second player in school history to top 1,500 career points.

And now she stands alone.

Johnson broke Claire Coggins' school scoring record Monday night in a 55-45 win against Liberty, which kept the Broncos in first place in the Suburban Gold Conference. With 20 points Monday, Johnson reached 1,531 for her career to surpass Coggins' previous mark of 1,520, set in 2003.

Coggins, of course, later starred at Kansas State, where she is 19th on the school's all-time scoring list. Coggins is now the director of women's basketball operations at Kansas State.

Johnson has signed with Southeast Missouri State.
