Sporting KC trio to appear in ballet peformances of The Nutcracker

The Kansas City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker will have a little extra help this year from Sporting Kansas City.

Goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, defender Seth Sinovic and assistant coach Kerry Zavagnin will join select performances of the classic holiday ballet at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Nielsen, along with his two daughters, will perform on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Sinovic will be part of the both the 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Zavagnin will join the ballet's performance on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

The trio rehearsed with the Kansas City Ballet on Wednesday at the Bolender Center. The MLS Cup trophy made an appearance.
