Major League Soccer announced the 2013 home openers today and Sporting Kansas City will start its campaign with back-to-back road trips to the East Coast. The home opener at Livestrong Sporting Park will come two weeks later on March 16th against the Chicago Fire.

On March 2nd -- just 75 days away -- Kansas City will take on the Philadelphia Union at PPL Park. A week later, Kansas City will face Toronto FC at a venue to be determined.

Kansas City have won its last three First Kick matches -- the last two of which have been road trips. In 2010, Kansas City beat D.C. United 4-0 followed by a 3-2 win over Chivas in Los Angeles and a 1-0 in D.C. last season.

This will be the second time in three seasons that Kansas City have faced the Fire in its first home match.

Times and broadcast information will be revealed in the coming weeks when MLS releases the full schedule for every team.
