The Missouri Comets just can't find their footing on that pesky East Coast turf, as they've lost all four games in the Eastern Time Zone this season.
This past weekend, the Comets fell in back-to-back days to the Syracuse Silver Knights and the Baltimore Blast.
On Friday night in Syracuse, the Silver Knights rode a strong counter attack and great goalkeeping from Bryan O'Quinn to top Missouri 18-8. The Comets have yet to win at the Knights' Oncenter.
John Sosa, Lucas Rodriguez, Vahid Assadpour and Byron Alvarez scored for Missouri.
It didn't get much better on Saturday as the Major Indoor Soccer League-leading Baltimore Blast dropped the sluggish Comets 15-9. The Blast are undefeated on the year.
Baltimore scored less than a minute into the game and never looked back, dominating Missouri and holding a 15-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
The Comets got a small comeback going behind goals from Ryan Junge and Brian Harris, a a three-point goal from Rodriguez, and a penalty kick from Alvarez.
It was too little, too late. Missouri drop sot 5-5 on the season.
The Comets continue the road trip this weekend -- albeit closer to home, traveling to the rival Wichita Wings on Friday. Missouri won't return to the Independence Events Center until Dec. 29 against Syracuse.
