According to a Sporting Kansas City press release, captain Davy Arnaud is expected to miss up to 6 weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery later this week.
"I'm a quick healer and will work hard to get back on the field," Arnaud said in the release. "With the new stadium and our commitment to making the playoffs, I will do whatever it takes to return and contribute on the field."
Arnaud is the second Sporting player to undergo sports hernia surgery. Omar Bravo missed six weeks earlier this season.
