Four Sporting KC players were in action this weekend, including two players who captained their sides in the Digicel Caribbean Cup.
On Saturday, midfielder Stephane Auvray and defender Shavar Thomas captained Guadeloupe and Jamaica (respectively), with slightly different results. Guadeloupewere drawn 1-1 with Guyana while Jamaica thrashed Antigua Barbuda 3-1
. Auvray and Thomas will battle each other this afternoon with Jamaica leading their group after one game.
On Sunday, Kansas City midfielder Craig Rocastle went 75 minutes in Grenada'ssurprise 1-0 win over Trinidad Tobago
. Grenada sits second in their group after two games. Group leaders Cuba (who haven't conceded a goal yet) await on Tuesday.
Also in action this weekend, was young KC goalkeeper Jon Kempin for the U.S. U-20 team in the Torneo de las Americas. Kempin started for the squad in their second game against Mexico. The U.S. lost on penalties for the second time in the tournament.
Striker Sunil Chhetri did not feature in India's 3-1 over Hatta Sports Club (a UAE second-division team).
