Justin Houston has missed the Chiefs’ last four games with a hyperextended knee, and Tamba Hali missed the Chiefs’ 17-13 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday with a broken finger.
When asked whether either will return for their regular-season finale against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said both remain day-to-day.
“We’ll see how that goes. They’ve both been rehabbing and working hard,” Reid said. “They were both driving me crazy on the sideline yesterday like they wanted to be in there. We’ll see.”
Never miss a local story.
And that’s a good sign?
“Oh, it’s a good sign,” Reid said. “They were into it.”
Reid said safety Husain Abdullah, who has missed the Chiefs’ last four games with a concussion, is “close” to returning, however.
“Pretty good chance he’ll be back this week,” Reid said. “We’ll see. Again, that’s kind of the day-by-day thing we’re talking about.”
