Marshawn Lynch isn’t the only Seahawks player fined by the NFL this week in the wake of Sunday’s 24-20 win by the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Two days after the league slapped a six-figure penalty on Lynch for refusing to speak with the media following Seattle’s loss, ProFootballTalk.com confirmed with the NFL on Friday that the league has levied a $10,000 fine against special-teams player Ricardo Lockette for punching Chiefs safety Kurt Coleman during a punt return.
The two began scuffling midway through a punt return by the Chiefs’ De’Anthony Thomas. When Coleman gave Lockette a shove along the sideline after the play, Lockette responded with a punch to Coleman’s helmet.
Officials immediately ejected Lockette from the game. Coleman remained in the game and was not fined.
