So by now you probably know the Chiefs signed 12 players to reserve/future contracts

Monday, including eight players who ended the season on the practice squad and one player who ended the year on injured reserve.

But the Chiefs did add three new free agents off the street ― cornerback Kevin Rutland, defensive tackle Chas Alecxih and receiver Fred Williams ― so for the purposes of this blog, those are the guys we’ll take a little closer look at.

Rutland, 25, was signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri in 2011. He spent parts of two seasons with the Jaguars, recording 31 tackles and an interception, before he was waived in September.
