The Chiefs concluded their sixth training camp at Missouri Western on Wednesday, and coach Andy Reid was again pleased by the accommodations.
“Well, just being in St. Joseph is a great thing,” Reid said. “The people here take such good care of you, I mean, they’re phenomenal. The food is unbelievable. The hospitality that they dish out too, as you saw the fields out here, these are incredible. The whole setup is a beautiful deal, so we appreciate them and all that they do for us.”
Reid likes the fact his players can get away from the city for a few weeks and bond as a team in a different environment.
“I think it’s a good thing,” Reid said. “I mean, you eliminate some of the distractions from being in the city there and you get up here and it’s concentrated amounts of football, and that’s about it.”
