A glimpse at ex-Chiefs GM Scott Pioli’s draft board

Former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli shared his thoughts on the eligible underclassmen in this year’s NFL Draft with Sports Illustrated’s Peter King. Pioli gave King his top 10 players among the group of 73, and graded Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel No. 1.

Former Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli shared his thoughts on the eligible underclassmen in this year’s NFL Draft with Sports Illustrated’s Peter King. Pioli gave King his top 10 players among the group of 73, and graded Texas A left tackle Luke Joeckel No. 1.

The rest of Pioli’s top 10

: Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner, Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner, Ohio State defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, Alabama running back Eddie Lacy, Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jones, California wide receiver Keenan Allen, Georgia middle linebacker Alec Ogletree and San Diego State tight end Gavin Escobar.

Pioli said he scouted Florida State’s prospects, saying Werner stood out on tape and in person, and that four other Chiefs scouts visited Tallahassee during the year.

King also noted that Pioli will appear on NBC Sports Network’s Super Bowl coverage.
