A second veteran backup offensive tackle has decided to retire during the preseason. This time, it was Ray Willis, who was signed early in training camp to replace Tony Ugoh after he retired.

It will be interesting to see whether the Chiefs sign yet another veteran tackle to replace Willis or stay with what they have behind their starting tackles, Branden Albert and Eric Winston. Their third tackle in camp has been rookie Donald Stephenson, a third-round draft pick.

Stephenson was penalized twice for holding in last week’s preseason opener against Arizona, though one of the penalties was declined.
