It looks as if the Chiefs are going to have an interesting battle at long snapper this season.
The Chiefs signed another long snapper, James Winchester, on Thursday, according to a tweet from his agent, Ken Sarnoff.
Winchester is the third long snapper the Chiefs have signed in recent months, along with Brandon Hartson and Jorgen Hus.
Never miss a local story.
The Chiefs’ long snapper last season, veteran Thomas Gafford, is an unrestricted free agent.
Winchester, who is listed at 6 feet 3 and 210 pounds, played football at Oklahoma. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
