Chiefs valued at $1.1 billion in Forbes list of NFL teams

Last month, Forbes magazine released its list of the most valuable teams in the world, and the Chiefs were ranked No. 33.

At that time, the Chiefs were valued at $1.009 billion.

On Wednesday, Forbes released the values of all NFL teams and the Chiefs were valued at $1.1 billion.

Forbes reported that the average NFL team is now worth $1.43 billion, the highest value in the 17 years that it has tracked team finances. The $1.43 billion average is 23 percent more than a year ago.

Topping the list is the Dallas Cowboys at $3.2 billion, followed by the New England Patriots at $2.6 billion and Washington at $2.4 billion.
