Fox Sports Kansas City announced that the Royals’ 10-5 win over the Rays on Tuesday got a 17.6 household rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. That equates to 158,000 households in the Kansas City designated market area.
That’s a new FSKC record, breaking the old mark of 17.3, which was set on April 26, 2015.

FSKC said that Tuesday’s game was watched by more people than Kansas City’s ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates combined. Those networks combined for a 16.1 rating, according to FSKC.
A year ago, the Royals’ averaged a 12.3 rating on Fox Sports Kansas City, which was the highest for a regional sports network in baseball.
This year’s average is slightly better at 12.4.
