Lorenzo Cain received four days off during the break, but Royals manager Ned Yost wanted to keep him fresh for the start of the second half. So Cain will sit on Saturday night against the Red Sox, with Jarrod Dyson replacing him in center field.

Yost would prefer Cain rests on Sunday. But with Boston southpaw Jon Lester on the mound, Yost wants Cain’s right-handed bat in the lineup.
