Royals manager Ned Yost penciled Alcides Escobar into his lineup for Saturday afternoon, even after Escobar left the previous night’s game with a cramp in his left calf. The team instructed Escobar to tell them if he felt any discomfort during pre-game exercises.

"Yesterday it felt really tight," Escobar said. "Right now, I’m not feeling bad."

If his leg holds up, he’ll join his teammates at 1:10 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Field. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Kansas City.
