Sean Manaea tossed four scoreless innings Monday night, but Wilmington gave up a run in the ninth of a 2-1 loss at Salem.
Manaea walked two and gave up four hits. He struck out six. Aroni Nina gave up one run in the third inning, and Zeb Sneed allowed the winning run in the ninth. It was the first earned run Sneed has allowed this season.

**Melky Mesa’s solo home run in the third inning was the Class AAA Omaha’s only run and hit in a 5-1 loss to Oklahoma City. Storm Chasers starter Ramon Troncoso, 1-2, gave up three runs on five hits. He struck out four and walked three. Francisley Bueno gave up one hit in one inning of work. He struck out one.
**Arkansas scored five in the top of the ninth inning, breaking open a close game and beat Class AA Northwest Arkansas 7-1. Starter J.C. Sulbaran allowed two runs in seven innings. He allowed three hits, walked one and struck out five. Malcom Culver allowed five runs on eight hits in two-thirds of an inning in the ninth. Whit Merrifield’s double in the fourth inning scored Lane Adams, who also had doubled, for the Naturals’ lone run.
**Matt Tenuta allowed three runs in the bottom of the first at Hagerstown and Class A Lexington never recovered in a 6-5 loss. It was 4-0 when third baseman Michael Antonio hit a three-run homer in the sixth. But Hagerstown got two back in their half of the sixth, and Lexington got single runs in the eighth and ninth, including a solo homer from right fielder Elier Hernandez in the final frame. Tenuta, 2-3, allowed four runs on six hits in five innings. He walked two and struck out one.
