Second baseman Omar Infante is scheduled to play the final five innings of a minor-league game Saturday at the Royals’ complex in Surprise, Ariz. His morning itinerary called for extensive rounds of groundballs and batting practice to test his sore right elbow.

After Infante plays in the game, manager Ned Yost said, the club hopes to be ready to decide if he needs to begin the season on the disabled list. From there, the team can complete its roster.

"I’ll have most of the answers after the game," Yost said.

There are a few moves still coming: Louis Coleman (bruised right middle finger) is expected to begin the season on the disabled list. If the team needs to clear a spot on the 40-man roster, they can always move Luke Hochevar (Tommy John surgery) to the 60-day disabled list.

Here is the lineup as Yordano Ventura and Jeremy Guthrie tag team against Marco Estrade and the Brewers:

1. Nori Aoki, RF.

2. Alcides Escobar, SS.

3. Eric Hosmer, 1B.

4. Billy Butler, DH.

5. Alex Gordon, LF.

6. Salvador Perez, C.

7. Mike Moustakas, 3B.

8. Lorenzo Cain, CF.

9. Danny Valencia, 2B.
