So far, Greg Billo has to be happy with his recovery from Tommy John surgery.
On Tuesday, Billo gave up two hits as Class A Lexington beat Kannapolis 1-0.
In three starts for the Legends, Billo has allowed nine hits and just one unearned run over 15 2/3 innings for a 0.00 ERA. Billo, who started the season in the Arizona League, has 12 strikeouts and four walks.
This is the sixth season in the Royals’ system for Billo, 22. He pitched in 2011 for Kane County, which was the Royals’ Low-A affiliate before moving to Lexington. Billo led the Midwest League in ERA that season.
Last year Billo was with Wilmington before having having Tommy John surgery in July. Billo was a 28th round pick in the 2008 draft.

A leaky bullpen and poor run support cost left-hander John Lamb as the Blue Rocks lost 6-2 to Carolina.
Lamb retired the first 15 batters of the game before being touched for a pair of runs on three hits in the sixth inning. Lamb also pitched a hitless seventh. He struck out two in the game, didn’t walk a batter and left trailing 2-0.
Reliever Malcolm Culver took over in the eighth and gave up four runs in the ninth before the Blue Rocks scored twice in their half of the ninth on Yem Prades’ two-run triple.
Despite a 6.06 ERA for the season, Lamb has allowed just five runs in his last two starts covering 12 innings. He is also coming back from Tommy John surgery.Class AAA Omaha
Brian Sanches pitched six scoreless innings as the Storm Chasers won 4-1 at Tacoma.
Sanches, 8-2, struck out five and walked three as his ERA dropped to 3.17. Buddy Baumann gave up a run on three hits in two innings with three strikeouts, while Will Smith pitched a perfect ninth for his third save. Smith struck out two.

Andy Ferguson gave up five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings as the Naturals lost 8-3 to Arkansas.
Ferguson, 2-4, struck out five and walked one as his ERA climbed to 5.35. Sam Runion gave up three runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings.

The Chukars allowed five runs in the eighth inning and lost 10-5 to Orem.
Idaho Falls had leads of 4-2 and 5-4, but they slipped away as the Chukars committed five errors that led to three unearned runs.
Alexis Rivera hit a two-run homer for the Chukars, while Daniel Rockett and Carlos Garcia each had two hits.
