You know someone is going to make a T-shirt out of this.
Boston designated hitter David Ortiz said the F-word on television as he addressed the crowd at Fenway Park prior to Saturday’s Royals-Red Sox game.
“This is our (expletive) city!” Ortiz said. “And nobody’s gonna dictate our freedom. Stay strong.”
Can’t you envision that on a T-shirt?
Ortiz spoke at the end of an emotion pregame ceremony at Fenway Park, one day after the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombers ended.
There’s likely little the FCC could have done to Ortiz, but the MLB network may have caught some heat. But not to worry.
FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski tweeted afterward: “David Ortiz spoke from the heart at today's Red Sox game. I stand with Big Papi and the people of Boston”
The FCC decision was hit on Twitter, as it was retweeted nearly 4,800 times and had more than 1,400 favorites by midnight.
