The Royals and White Sox will use the same starting lineups they fielded in Monday's season opener for today's game at U.S. Cellular Field.

Minus the starting pitchers, of course.

Here's the KC lineup from Monday: Alex Gordon (LF) leads off, followed by Alcides Escobar (SS), Billy Butler (DH), Mike Moustakas (3B), Sal Perez (C), Eric Hosmer (1B), Lorenzo Cain (CF), Jeff Francoeur (RF) and Chris Getz (2B).

For the Royals, starting pitcher Ervin Santana gets the nod. It will be his first start in a Royals uniform. The White Sox will start Jake Peavy.

The Royals will be looking for their first win. James Shields pitched well Monday, but the Royals' hitting failed them in the clutch as Chicago won 1-0. Game time today is 1 p.m. Both teams had Tuesday off.

Santana, 30, had a 4.70 ERA in spring training but struck out 21 and issued just four walks in 23 innings.

Last year, Santana was 9-13 with a 5.16 ERA. In his last 11 starts of the year, he was 5-3 with a 3.76 ERA.

The Royals are at Chicago today and Thursday, play three at Philly over the weekend (yes, interleague already), then return for their home opener at Kauffman Stadium Monday against the Minnesota Twins.
