If there was a Mt. Rushmore of Royals greats, who would you want to see?
On Wednesday, Major League Baseball announced the “Franchise Four” promotion, in which fans can select the four most “impactful“ players for each team.
There also will be a “Franchise Four” for players from the Negro Leagues, as well as a “Pioneers” ballot for pre-1915 players and a “Greatest Living Players” category.
There are eight finalists for each team. The Royals’ Elite Eight are (in alphabetical order):

Fans can vote at mlb.com/franchisefour, and there is a write-in spot.
Voting runs until May 8. The top four selections from each category will be announced on July 14 during the All-Star Game pregame ceremony.
Eight finalists from each category were selected based on recommendations from a Blue Ribbon Panel featuring MLB historian John Thorn, the Elias Sports Bureau and representatives from MLB.com, MLB Network and the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. The panel consulted with individual clubs in selecting finalists.
