There has been the usual fun associated with the Olympics this year. Great performances, playful and inspiring stories away from the Games and plenty of memorable moments.
But there have been a few things that haven’t been great, including odd comments from the TV reporters and green pools.
The worst may be this: Mexican gymnast Alexa Moreno was fat-shamed in a stupid tweet that called her a pig. Fortunately, the hater was drowned out by a chorus of love.
This is one of the things I love about the Olympics. People support each other, including athletes they have never met. Just look at all of these wonderful responses:
