We’ve all known for a while that the Royals’ defense is exceptional.
But it seems like every single day there is another amazing play. Alcides Escobar had about five of them in a game last week. Jarrod Dyson’s over-the-shoulder catch that turned into a double play. Alex Gordon diving into the stands.
Well, this one may be the best of all. Omar Infante and Escobar teamed on the rare 4-6-3 single out Tuesday night against the Indians.
I must say: I love the calls from the announcers.
Not surprisingly, this was the top play on ESPN:
America has spoken and Omar Infante's glove flip to Alcides Escobar is #SCnumber1 with 80% of the vote. http://t.co/xp6VesYxeP

The fans loved it, too:
“@Royals: WOW! Not your typical 4-6-3: http://t.co/9yFDHlfLVp #ForeverRoyal pic.twitter.com/7EH8vSGEBx” @espn THAT IS THE PLAY OF THE DAY!

The Royals have a professional baseball team. If you didn't see that Infante-Escobar play, find a highlight. Holy cow...
