How does that stamp feel?
That’s not a question you’ve likely asked before, but the U.S. Postal Service is issuing a special set of stamps that have the feel of eight different sports balls.
The Postal Service said in a news release that a special coating will be applied to selected areas of the stamps during the printing process.
That will make them feel like they have a tennis ball’s seams, the textured panels of a soccer ball or volleyball, a baseball’s stitches, the dimples of a golf ball and raised feel of a football, basketball and kickball.
The stamps will be issued on Wednesday starting at the U.S. Open in Hartford, Wis.
