That didn’t take long.
The Chargers are officially the Los Angeles Chargers, as team owner Dean Spanos wrote an open letter and shared it on Twitter.
Spanos wrote in part: “LA is a remarkable place, and while we played our first season there in 1960 and have had fans there ever since, our entire organization knows that we have a tremendous amount of work to do. We must earn the respond and support of LA football fans. We must get back to winning.”
Not long after that letter was made public, the Chargers’ new logo for the move to LA was released by NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport, and it is ... this.
UPDATE: Paul Lukas of Uni Watch, said that the team won’t be changing any existing logos.
Nevertheless, let’s say the logo was not met with great fanfare. In fact, it was ridiculed by many people.
