So, guys. Don’t freak out. But are you sitting down? You should be sitting down. And be calm. Know that whatever happens in the rest of this blog post, you will be OK. Nobody is hurt. Your friends and family still love you.

Take a deep breath.

OK, well, it’s just that Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt kind-of, sort-of, maybe, definitely will be wearing some type of Broncos gear for the Super Bowl this weekend.

“I don’t know if you should quote me on that,” says Britton Colquitt, Dustin’s younger brother and the Broncos’ punter. “But he said he would, to support me.”

Punting is the Colquitt family business. Dustin’s and Britton’s father, Craig, punted seven years in the NFL, winning two Super Bowl rings with the Steelers. Craig’s brother, Jimmy, punted briefly for the Seahawks. Theirs is a tight-knit family, so you’ll just have to excuse him if Dustin chooses blood over rivalry.

Britton clarified that someone in the family was in charge of finding Dustin a sort of incognito Broncos flash. Like, maybe a hat where the Super Bowl is the main focus but there’s a Broncos logo on the side or something.

“Find him in the stands,” Britton says. “I don’t think Kansas City nation would blame him. I mean, he’s my brother.”
