Tom Myers, Central Missouri baseball coach, retires

Central Missouri baseball coach Tom Myers, whose Mules made three Division II College World Series appearances, announced his retirement on Monday.
Myers’ teams went 311-91 and won four MIAA championships in seven seasons. He previously served as an assistant coach at Kansas State.
• MIAA champion Emporia State will meet Minnesota St.-Mankato in the first round of the NCAA Division II regionals on Thursday in Russellville, Ark. The Hornets are making their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011.
• Drury won the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament in Evansville, Ind., last weekend. The Panthers are headed back to the same city this week for the NCAA regionals and will meet Wayne State on Thursday.
