KU women’s basketball signs Johnson County Community College guard

Johnson County Community College guard Timeka O’Neal signed a letter of intent to play for the Kansas women’s basketball team, KU announced Monday. O’Neal, 5 feet 4, played at Raytown High and averaged 11.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and a team-best 5.1 assists per game in her sophomore season with the Cavaliers.

• Grandview’s Drea Lesure signed with Park University, where she will play softball and women’s basketball. Lesure, 5-9, averaged 10.2 points per game in her final season.
